I don't see where the food taste any different than the original Mayflower that was there before or the one before that years ago fried seafood good that's the only thing I tried shrimp, and flounder so far. I've tried Captain Cook's and I like there's also just a matter location
My favorite place to go for fried fish! Every time I come home I have to stop by mayflower. It's the best food for the price. Huge portions!
About two or three times a year, I get the craving for fried seafood and this extremely popular Greek owned fish camp is hard to beat. It is always bustling. The food is delicious and serving sizes are incredible. Even the small combo is huge compared to other restaurants. Although they specialize in fried, they don't gripe about serving it up broiled if desired. My family has eaten here for years and have never been disappointed. Service is friendly, fast and attentive. It is well managed and the sanitation scores are always high. If you get the hankering for seafood in Danville, this place is a Gotta Try! You can't go wrong here. Keep in mind though, it is fried, so yes there will be grease involved, which is especially obvious if you order your meal to go and happen to notice the cardboard to-go box. Still, it is less greasy than most and I can justify treating myself a couple times a year regardless of my spiked cholesterol level.
Been to a lot of restaurants but none can match Mayflower's. Every plate that comes out of the kitchen seems to be overflowing with food. Flounder is my favorite and their preparation is second to none. The wait staff is very professional but above all, the price is very reasonable.
I love this place. Each time I come to visit my family that lives here, I don't leave until I've had some mayfloer or I get some to go. It's so good and the portions are VERY generous. It has been like that for years. I have been coming to this place and had a love for this restaurant for, at least 15 years. No matter the changes, the service and food are still great. As long as these two factors stay consistent, I'll keep coming. Unfortunately, I can't give a half star, it should be 4 1/2. The,long drive I male to get this great food is worth it everyone. If I can't get tger e to get it, I get someone to bring me some when they cone to visit me. lol Its that good.
Went here for my 25th birthday. Being from the Chesapeake area, I am pretty picky about good seafood. I was extremely impressed at the quality of the seafood as well as the side dishes and service. Bonus? The price was extremely reasonable! Will definitely be back!
